I've had one of these racks since March of 2009. I've quit using the rack completely, partly because it was tearing up my car and partly because it does not hold bikes very securely. Detailed complaints:
1) The rack is stated to carry 3 bikes but it is not big or strong enough to do so. It carries one bike OK.
2) The rack lacks side straps (it should mount with 6 straps not 4) so it has no lateral support (it will shift sideways in a sharp turn).
3) The upper trunk clips scratch up the trunk (other brands have thicker rubber on the clips).
4) The lower clips dig into the bumper.
5) The rack includes no method of securing the lower portion of the bicycles so the bikes swing in the cradles.
6) The lower bumper put serious dents in my trunk!!!
7) The rack requires an adapter when trying to carry a woman's bike that lacks a proper top-tube.
Save your money and get a hitch mount!

Easy to install and remove. Have not used it with 3 bikes but it looks like the plastic saddle closest to the vehicle would make it a very tight fit. Works very well with one or two bikes though ( I have the 3 bike model). I use it all the time and it frequently is on the car when I am not using it. Installs and removes in minutes and does not damage the car finish. This is not my first Allen bike product and I have always been satisfied.

Sturdy product, quick to install. If you have any problems the Allen site has customer service that is very prompt as well as a website that shows an actual installation.

This bike rack works as it should, and fits my prius quite well. We've had no problems or complaints. We can install it in about 1 minute, and it comes off in in seconds.

For around $50, you won't find an easier rack to place on your car nor one with this quality. Anyone using this style of rack will need to use bungies or other mechanisms to make sure you bikes don't turn into each other or the car and scratch. It's the nature of the beast. I have a Mazda 3 Hatchback. Had to attach bottom to the 'tow hooks' under the car since the bumper is plastic. Thankfully the straps were long enough!
