First Bike Rack that I have purchase and it is great. I especially like the fold down option that allows you to open the tailgate on a SUV.

Was easy to assemble with two 9/16 inch wrenches, one being a socket type wrench on a 4 inch extension is best for tighting the hitch bolt. Rack fits and clears nicely the bumber on a 08 Ford Edge. Be sure the 0.5 inch collar on the hitch bolt, which has a 3/8 inch shank, penetrates past the hole in the box part of the hitch - it fits thru the hole and presses the rack against one side of the box to prevent side to side wobble. The hole in the rack is smaller then 1/2 inch and accepts the 3/8 dia. bolt with some amount of play. This bolt is 2-3/4 inch long, has 3/4 inch of thread. Its collar's diameter measures 0.505 inch. A small amount of rust was found on a weld after being in the rain. I wonder if the bolt will loosen once the plastic lock insert wears out over use - maybe I will pickup some spares or a lock washer. I use a cable lock through the bike frame, front wheel, rack's frame and the hitches fixed rings to lock everything to the car.

Easy to install. Easy to get bikes on and off. Holds the bike securely on the rack. If you are shopping for a bike rack and you have a hatch on your vehicle you'll want to have a bike rack that you don't have to take off to get to the hatch (like this rack). Trust me, it is worth the extra money...

great rack, easy to assemble and use. would recomend a locking hitch pin so you don't need wrenches to attach and detach it from reciever and to make it more secure. we also use straps to stabilize it to the roof rack for that extra bit of stability but it isn't necessary
